How should I plan the inside of my wardrobe?
Short answer: Start with what you own. Use double hanging for shirts and jackets, long hanging for dresses and coats, then add drawers and shelves where they save time. Good lighting helps you see clearly and keeps the space tidy.
Depth: aim for 550 to 600 mm internal depth so hangers sit straight.
Double hanging: rails at roughly 1,000 mm and 1,900 mm from the floor.
Long hanging: allow 1,500 to 1,650 mm clear height for dresses and coats.
Shelves: 350 to 450 mm deep for folded items and bags.
