Bespoke Fitted Furniture in Runcorn

Fitted Furniture Designed Around Your Runcorn Home

Runcorn homes span older properties in the Old Town and newer estates in areas such as Sandymoor, Beechwood and Halton Lea, so room shapes and sizes vary widely. Made-to-measure furniture is built for the exact space, which is why it works equally well in a period alcove or a modern open-plan living room.

A media wall is one of the most popular pieces we build for Runcorn living rooms, bringing the television, storage and lighting together in one tidy, built-in feature. Whatever the room, we handle the whole project from design to fitting.

Runcorn is really two towns, and they need two different approaches. The Old Town around Halton Village and West Bank is older brick and sandstone, with deep window reveals and solid walls that want proper fixings rather than plasterboard plugs. The estates built after Runcorn was designated a new town in 1964, places like Castlefields, Palace Fields, Murdishaw and Beechwood, are a different job entirely: open-plan ground floors, timber-framed partition walls and ceilings a little lower than people expect. Fixing into a stud wall is perfectly sound as long as you locate the studs and use the right pattern, which is something we check on the design visit rather than discover on fitting day. Both types take built-in furniture well. They simply need the survey done properly first, which is the real advantage of building for one room instead of ordering a standard unit.
